I haven't got on the scale since the weigh-in day, I wanna wait. I had a headache most of the day, but I think is normal until I get back into the routine of things, it happened to me last time. Today was just cardio and I ran 2 miles in 16:34, not to bad. Here is what I had for the day.....
I need to make a list of my foods and go grocery shopping, I think it'll have to wait till the weekend tho, kinda hard right now cause I picked up a second job and have been working all day. There is just not enough time in the day.

First Day
Getting back into routine wasn't so bad the first day, but my workout stunk. Here is my spreadsheet in action.....
As you can see I did eat very much. I really wasn't that hungry all day, and being really busy all day helped keep my mind off of being hungry. I have my stats for my workout listed on there as well, as you can see in the notes that my bench really stunk and I got a little winded on the last couple minutes of my run. Some good points were my single dumbbell overhead extensions and my machine dips.
I multiplied the weight I did with the reps to get a total calculation of weight lifted for that day, WOW!! 25,570lbs!!! I didn't realize it was really that much, and that was a crappy day....
Overall the first day was good, kinda got hungry before I went to bed, but pushed through.

Let's get started
Those of you that are in the contest.....I am going to win!!! But I will let you in on my diet plan, workouts and exercises that I do.
We have 14 people signed up for the contest and still have a couple that are debating on doing it. I gave them till 1/18/08 to decide, but they will be a week behind. The buy-in was for $50 and the pot total is at $650 right now. I think we also decided that each week when you weight and gain or stay the same you have to add $2 to the pot. So that should bring the pot up alittle in the end.
My official first weigh-in was 243.5#, a little more than I expected, but thats all good. I slacked off this weekend, didn't really get started till today.
Also I thought that I would have the weight log spreadsheet ready but found some problems, so I am going to test it out again this week and see how it goes.
I will post diet and excercises the on the following day. Ex: What I ate today and worked out will be on tomorrow's post.

Tomorrows the day!
Well, tomorrow is the day we start our contest. So far we have onlt 11 people confirmed. Last contest I had some last minute people that wanted to get it so I am hoping a couple more people will let me know. Here is what the spreadsheet looks like. It calculates total wt lost, %lost and if they get payed that week. It also keeps a running tab of how much money is in the pot.
My other spreadsheet looks good and works pretty good. I should have it up tomorrow for those who want to use it.

Keeping Track
I am close to being finished with my spreadsheet. I am going to go through it and make sure that all the calculations work correctly before I make it available. Here is the first tab "Summary"
The summary tab is where you put in your weekly weight, goal weight, daily points allowed, and daily calories allowed. I also thought that it would be pretty neat to see how much weight I have lifted, miles I have ran and a total time of running I have did over the 10-week challenge. I also added a chart on this page that graphs your weight and calories consumed.
Here is what Week1 tab looks like.
I have your breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks laid out with all nutrition facts needed to be recorded, and a calculation for the total points for each food. From the summary tab you got your points allowed and calories allowed and a daily total of points, calories, protein and carbs accumulated. Under you daily intake there is a section to record your daily exercises. Next to the Daily calculations at the top is a weekly report of total weight lifted, total distance ran, and total time running.
I hope to have this spreadsheet available soon.

New Year rebound
Getting back on track is the toughest obstacle, after indulging in the holiday gorging. Since being out of the gym for the past week and a half, I feel horrible, I feel like I gained like 10 pounds. I got on the scale this morning and it said 241....doh! Man I really got lost. That’s ok, because I have planned out my schedule until the weigh-in day (11th) hoping to weigh in at 235.
I am creating my own weight tracking spreadsheet, similar to all the ones on the net. Soon to be up so anyone can use it.
Later in the Day…I went to the gym at lunch time. I was able to run a mile, walk half mile and run the other half mile. I felt pretty good doing it, legs feel a little jello-e, didn’t expect that, but its prolly from not stretching good enough. Just trying to get back in the groove again and getting ready for next weeks weigh-in.

Count down
Being successful, (taking First place, $550 and being 38 pounds lighter) from a "Biggest Loser" contest that I started in August, I decided that it is not enough for me.
~~Some background~~
I started seeing some pictures of myself and said that's not me. I am the athletic type and I started letting myself go. So my wife and I decided to start a weight loss contest. We based it off the TV show "Biggest Loser" and went by the most percenage lost. Lemme break down the rules of it real quick. $30 buy-in, weekly weigh-ins, if you gained or stayed the same you payed $2 to the pot, payout for 1st (65%) 2nd (25%) and 3rd (10%). So I created a spreadsheet that would track everyone's weight and control how much money was in the pot. 25 people signed up, but not all followed through. So I started out at 263.5 and used the Weight Watchers approach along with some major running and finished off the contest at 225.5. Here is some pics.....
I have been going through a "gaintaining" phase since the contest ended. I started lifting weights "hard" while sticking with some of the running. Since the contest I have put on about 10 lbs.
Well the time has come to go to the cutting phase and I will be starting another contest. I have set the date for January 11 for the first weigh-in. I will also start letting everyone know about it today.
With this being said I want to create a blog to let everyone see how I will accomplish my wieght loss, and win this season too!!!!!
